Australian Tribute Cookie

I am on the edge of hitting a significant milestone for my YouTube channel, 50,000 subscribers.  I expect to get there by the end of the month. I want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone that has contributed to my channels success.  As a small token of my appreciation, I am going to attempt to create tribute tutorials for the 10 countries  that watch my channel the most (ranked by number of views).

Today’s tutorial is in honour of Australia. When I think of Australia, sharks pop into my head, but I already made that last week (watch here) so I opted on a much gentler creature. I suppose I could have made a flag but I wanted to make something cute and so today I have a 3D kangaroo cookie for you.

3D kangaroo cookie, created by attaching 3 separate cookies together.

This cookie design was hand cut (you’ll find the template below). First, cut one body and one leg per cookie.  You will also need to cut a base cookie which should be the size of the bottom of your gusset bags.

The tail isn’t missing just hiding behind her so she can fit nicely in the packaging.

Format this image to your desired size then print.

Watch the video tutorial here.

Here is the cookie all wrapped up!  I think the kids would love them as a party favour, they would also be great in a souvenir shop, or even for a kangaroo baby shower.

I hope you enjoyed today’s tutorial, should you want to share your work with me please add #montrealconfections to your Instagram posting.

Thanks and I’ll see you next time,

Marlyn xo
